“On The Business” Mastery Series

Tactical programs to empower C-Suite and VP-level women in tech to operate like GMs

Over the past decade, the tech industry has experienced remarkable growth, yet women remain significantly underrepresented as founders and senior leaders.

According to techUK’s 2024 Insights from ‘Rewards & Resilience’ Report, women hold only 24% of tech roles and just 5% of leadership positions, underscoring the persistent disparity in the workforce.

Women excel as functional leaders, bringing deep expertise and delivering exceptional results within their domains. To accelerate their path to the C-suite, they can further amplify their leadership by sharpening P&L command and embracing a ‘First Team’ leadership style (shifting priority from their functional to their leadership teams)—both critical drivers of executive success.

We are committed to helping women develop the tangible skills to thrive in senior leadership through our “On the Business” Mastery Series, which includes an annual summit and themed one-off events during the year.

“On the Business” was established in November 2023 in New York. Since its inception, it has expanded to London and San Francisco, where it continues to serve as a distinguished platform for senior women in technology to share their knowledge and expertise with emerging leaders in the field.

Building on this success, Enterprise Tech London, in partnership with Primary Ventures, and supported by Accenture FinTech Innovation Lab and Orrick, brought Mastery Day to London in May 2024, where it received rave reviews and reinforced its impact on women in tech leadership.

About Our Partners

The FinTech Innovation Lab London is an annual accelerator program run by Accenture and the market’s top financial institutions. The Lab accepts applications from the UK, Europe and elsewhere from early and growth stage companies that have developed cutting edge technology products targeted at financial services customers.

Through a competitive process, Fintech and Insurtech companies are selected to enter the Lab each year, where each receives:

  • Mentoring from some of the industry’s leading firms and senior financial services executives
  • Insider knowledge and direct feedback from relevant target user groups
  • Strategy development and pitch coaching from senior Accenture executives
  • Workshops and panel discussions on topics such as procurement, regulation and industry trends
  • A central London workspace in the financial district for your leadership throughout the programme
  • PR opportunities to raise your profile

Primary Venture Partners are investors who take a low-volume, high-conviction approach, committing unreasonable resources to create unfair advantages. The differentiator, unheard of in early stage VC, is Primary’s Impact team: Full-time, seasoned executives working alongside founders to supercharge growth and secure quality hires, early customers, and downstream investors.

With nearly $1 billion in assets under management, Primary Venture Partners spends $4.5 million annually on operational talent salaries, embeds with companies for 2,500 hours of high-intensity fractional leadership work, conducts 1,000 candidate interviews, maintains a pool of 1,000+ active job seekers, and hosts 250 events large and small for the NYC tech community.

Orrick is a global law firm focused on delivering innovative solutions for four sectors: Technology & Innovation, Energy & Infrastructure, Finance and Life Sciences & HealthTech.

Leading companies at all stages, financial institutions, funds and other entities rely on Orrick for legal solutions that advance business objectives: financings and corporate transactions, dispute resolution, IP protection and navigating the uncertain regulatory and enforcement landscape.

They bring particular insight to the transformational opportunities arising from the convergence of tech and AI with every other sector.
